Dr. Afran is a board certified pediatric ophthalmologist specializing in the management of amblyopia, eye muscle disorders, and refractive errors.

Educational Background

Dr. Afran is a Summa Cum Laude graduate of the Boston University School of Medicine. He has completed a Residency in Ophthalmology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York and also a fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus at Children's Memorial Hospital/Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois.  Dr. Afran has been in private practice in Scarsdale, N.Y. since 1991

Academic Affiliations:

Dr. Afran is actively involved in Ophthalmology Resident Teaching and serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at both the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx and the New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York.
